Recipe Ingredient
- 400g pineapple, cubed
- 1tbsp tamarind (asam jawa),mixed into a paste with 3-4 tbsp water
- Ground spices (combine):
- 2cloves garlic
- 1cm ginger
- 2tbsp chilli paste
- 2tbsp oil
- 1/2tsp mustard seeds
- 1sprig curry leaves
- 1/2 onion, sliced thinly
- Seasoning:
- 1tsp salt
- 1tbsp sugar or to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and fry ground spice ingredients for one to two minutes.
- Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry until fragrant.
- Add pineapple and tamarind juice.
- Stir in seasoning and bring to a simmering boil. Lower the heat and simmer until the gravy turns thick. Dish out and serve.
