The Palm Garden Hotel in Putrajaya is offering a spread of more than 80 dishes in its Malaysia Ramadan Buffet.

Patrons will be able to sample signature dishes from various states such as Laksa Kedah, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak Pahang, Rendang Ayam Minang Negri Sembilan, and Ayam Percik Kelantan, among other local favourites such as Kambing Panggang, Kari Kepala Ikan, Bubur Lambuk, and more.

Executive chef Ibrahim Salim who is a northerner, said one of the must-try dishes was the Laksa Kedah.

True to his word, the Laksa Kedah was tasty and hit all the right notes.

The soup was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy with a hint of fish.

Another must-try is the Rendang Ayam Minang which is perfect to be eaten with either lemang or nasi impit (top pic).

The chef also recommended the Kari Kepala Ikan, which he claimed to be one of the best in Putrajaya.

“We are very particular in selecting the raw materials in our dishes. For the fish curry, we used ikan jenahak (snapper) to ensure we serve only the best to our customers,” said Ibrahim during a media preview of the Ramadan buffet.

Other popular Malay dishes such as Paru Goreng Berlada, Ayam Goreng Berempah, Udang Kari Nenas, Sotong Cili Kering, Sweet and Sour Lala and Kurma Kambing are also available.

The hotel is also offering a wide range of desserts, both Malay and Western.

Choose from pulut durian, tapai, sago Gula melaka, bread pudding, chocolate cake, mango pudding and ice cream.

To quench your thirst, beverages such as cold sirap selasih, sugar cane, cincau, hot coffee and teh tarik are available.

The Malaysia Ramadan Buffet at Palm Garden Hotel is priced at RM90 nett per adult and RM45 nett for children between four and 12 years old.
