The Bubbly Lobster-licious affair at the restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline is ideal for the entire family.

Members of the media were given a sample of the dishes during a promotion with the Bollinger Special Cuvee NV by Sunrise Wines Sdn Bhd.

Bollinger Special Cuvee NV is a multi-vintage blend of Grand and Premier Crus that was the signature champagne for the James Bond 007 label.

Dubbed the ‘king’ of non-vintage champagnes, the Special Cuvee has a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier and is matured for a minimum of three years for a more round body.

“This is the most expensive non-vintage champagne and we introduced it here two years ago,” said the Sunrise Wines and Spirits marketing manager Michelle Hor.

In line with its fame, the theme of the night was James Bond and the gastronomic journey began with a starter ‘Tomorow Never Dies’, a chef’s salad.

The Mesclun Salad was tossed with helpings of beef, chicken and turkey ham and drizzled with tangy lemon vinaigrette.

Next was the soup, ‘Quantum of Solace’, a creamy smooth tomato puree simmered with prawns, basil, fennel and a delightful splash of cognac and cream.

The main course comprising the Boston lobsters and champagne had everybody excited.

The fresh lobsters can be cooked in six different styles — bisque, grilled, baked, stir fried or even steamed to suit your tastes.

The media party was treated to the best sellers at Cristallo — the Lobster Termidor and the Stir Fried Lobster with Thai Basil.

Lobster Termidor is made with sauteed lobster, grated chess and bechamel (white sauce) with a side of garden vegetables and potatoes.

The creamy texture was ideal for the fresh crustaceans but those with an adventurous tummy can opt for the Stir Fried Lobster with Thai Basil. This mildly spicy dish goes well with the champagne and is served with fluffy Thai rice.

Next was a unique dish called ‘The World is Not Enough’ with three main course dishes on a single plate. The single servings include Angus New York Striploin, Grilled New Zealand Lamb Rack marinated in Dijon mustard and Provence Herbs as well as the Grilled Garoupa with zesty lemon sauce.

The final touch was the Peach Melba, a blend of creamy Vanilla ice cream complete with summer peaches, topped with nuts and a drizzle of strawberry sauce.

The Lobster-licious promotion runs till June 30 and is available for lunch at Soi23 and dinner at both venues, Cristallo di Luna and Soi23. Priced at RM128++ for one whole lobster, diners can pair it with a bottle of white wine at RM90++ per bottle.

Sunrise will also make the Bollinger Special Cuvee NV available at RM250++ during Happy Hours daily from 5pm to 9pm. After which, the bottle is priced at RM300++ and is exclusively available at the Luna Chill Out Bar.
