VALENTINE’S DAY is an occasion to celebrate with loved ones, not only between sweethearts but also with family and friends as well.
And what better way to pay tribute to love and romance than with a sumptuous spread of food to share with the special person in your life.
The taste of love: Chef Chew Teik Chye (right) and his team have come up with a special Valentine’sDay menu.At Utara Coffee House in Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya, chef Chew Teik Chye and his team have come up with a special Valentine’s Day menu where the food will be served by Cupid and his cherubs in a white setting that will definitely have lovers on cloud nine.
Chew has prepared a selection of international dishes such as Roasted Leg of Lamb, Mutton Roghan Josh, Fried Kale with Mushroom, Butter Prawns with Cheese, Pan-seared Salmon with Leek Stew, Chicken Fajitas, Oyster Gratin, Chicken Teppanyaki and Ninniku Ghahan.
“Our menu this year consists of light and medium heavy dishes. We will include a range of salads, seafood as well as small portions of main dishes. Customers will also have the choice of clear and cream-based soups,” said Chew.
Priced at RM70++ (adult), RM55++ (senior citizen) and RM40++ (child and domestic helpers), the buffet dinner also comes with complimentary romantic goodies such as pralines, house-pouring wines and ala-minute picture taking while accompanied by live piano entertainment throughout the evening.
A single stalk of rose will be given to every woman at the coffee house.
Signs of love: Heart-shaped sushi has been selected as part of the menu.Members of the media were recently invited to try some of the dishes including Chinese cold cuts, Heart-to-Heart Vegetable Terrine, Prawn and Oysters in Ice, assorted sushi, Cream of Broccoli with Profiteroles, Kaeng Phad Kari (chicken curry) and a host of desserts.
On this special occasion, Hotel Armada will also be offering the Valentine’s Day room packages. Priced at RM388++, the package comes exclusively with 2D/1N stay in a Deluxe Room, candle-light buffet dinner for two (at Utara Coffee house), buffet breakfast for two and an exclusive Hotel Armada gift. Checkout time will be extended to 4pm and lucky guests will receive a complimentary upgrade to the Premier Deluxe Room (subject to availability).
