Recipe Ingredient

  • 350g mutton, cubed
  • (A):
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 tbsp preserved soya paste
  • 50g ginger, sliced thinly
  • 2 star anise
  • 6 cloves
  • 3cm piece cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Seasoning (combined):
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp beef stock granules
  • 250ml water
  • Thickening:
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp water

Instructions

  1. Heat wok with oil, fry ingredients (a) until fragrant. Add in mutton and water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, then simmer until meat is cooked and tender.
  2. Add in seasoning and thickening. Dish out and serve immediately.
