Recipe Ingredient

  • 100ml vinegar
  • 6 fresh red chillies, seeded and finely blended
  • 2 tbsp plum sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 4 tbsp toasted peanuts or cashew nuts, finely pounded
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Put vinegar in a saucepan. Bring to a simmering low boil on gentle heat. When it begins to boil, add chillies, plum sauce, sugar and salt. Stir well and allow to simmer until the sauce turns slightly thicker.
  2. Remove from the heat. Stir in peanuts or cashew nuts and sesame seeds. Serve when cooled.
