Recipe Ingredient
- 1 Chicken - cut into bit sized
- Lemon Grass (heong mau) - 2/3 stalks
- Belacan
- Asam (squeesh out 1 bowl of water)
- 1 Green / Red chilies
- A
- Garlic, Shallots(cut & fried)
- B
- Kunyit Powder / Pepper / Salt / Fresh Wong keong
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with B & leave for a few hours
- Put in enough oil for frying A and leave aside
- Leave a bit of oil for frying the belacan & lemon grass.
- Put in chicken & fry till almost cooked.
- Pour in the assam juice & add in sugar, dark sauces
- Cover wok for a while & put in half the fried onions.
- When chicken is cooked, put in the chillies & bal of the fried onions. Serve immediately
