Recipe Ingredient
- 150g plain cooking chocolate, broken up into pieces
- 120ml corn oil or sunflower oil
- 210g light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 65g self-raising flour
- 70g pecans or macadamia nuts, chopped
- 50g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Lightly grease a 19cm square cake pan. Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Melt chocolate in a small bowl over hot water. Put oil in a mixing bowl, add in eggs, sugar and essence and beat thoroughly.
- Add melted chocolate and beat until mixture is well blended. Sift in the self-raising flour and cocoa powder and fold in well to combine. Stir in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips to mix.
- Pour the well-blended mixture into prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top or surface of the brownie is firm to the touch. Leave aside to cool completely before cutting.
