Recipe Ingredient
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
- Combine oil, eggs, corn syrup and vanilla and add to dry ingredients. Fold in nuts if desired. Spread in a greased 13in x 9in x 2in baking pan.
- Bake at 175 degrees Celcius for 25-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the centre comes out clean.
- Dust with confectioners' sugar while warm if desired.
