Tai Thong Mooncake Rolls Out Five New Flavours Reflecting The Seasons

The brand also reaches out to the younger generation with a snap-and-win online contest

Tai Thong Mooncake, Malaysia's best-loved household brand for quality and delectable mooncakes continues its two-decade long commemoration of Mid-Autumn Festival by rolling out five themed flavours that are once again first in the market.

This year, Tai Thong Mooncake turned to the four seasons and drew inspirations from Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter to create the exclusive Four Seasons Series, offering consumers a taste and look of each season in the new mooncake line-up.

Tai Thong Mooncake is also reaching out to the younger, sophisticated consumers by running a two-month long online social contest titled "The Sweetest Snapshot Contest". Members of public are invited to snap their best photos of the new Four Seasons Series gift boxes, post them on Tai Thong Group's official Facebook page and complete the sentence "I love Tai Thong Mooncakes because…" in less than 25 words. Contestants whose photos receive the most number of "likes" in a week get to win Apple iPads or iPhones! Tai Thong Mooncake's "The Sweetest Snapshot Contest" ends 4th September, 2011.

All new mooncake flavours were created by Tai Thong Group Executive Master Chef Yiu Wing Keung, whose culinary experience spans more than 32 years in Hong Kong and Malaysia. According to Chef Keung, the process to create and develop new mooncake flavours is extensive and time-consuming, one that involves numerous trials and errors, research and many rounds of taste testing to achieve desired results. "This year, we have taken inspirations from elements of the four seasons and incorporated them into five new flavours," he shared.

Four collectible gift boxes are available to present the mooncakes as stunning gifts for relatives, friends and business associates. Each Four Seasons Series gift box bears one-of-a-kind scenery and when all boxes are arranged together, they display a full elaborate design. For lasting impressions, Tai Thong Mooncake's limited edition corporate gift box (RM158) is also available with six assorted mooncakes and three bottles of instant bird's nest.
